Two actions in the district court for Blue Earth county, consolidated for trial and on appeal, to recover for personal injuries and property damage arising out of a collision between the auto of plaintiff Oliver Abramson, in which the plaintiff Frank J. Shockman was riding, and a tractor-trailer owned by defendant Union Transfer Company operated by the defendant Elias Nichols. The cases were tried before Harry A. Johnson, Judge, and a jury, and a verdict of $4,650 returned for the plaintiff Shockman and one of $3,050 for the plaintiff Abramson. From an order denying their alternative motions for judgment or a new trial, defendants separately appealed.
